PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the School of the Arts at Sacramento High School. We are a school-community where every young person feels special. Our focus on community involvement and parent participation has provided many opportunities for students outside the classroom walls. One of the highlights every year is the Best of Sac High Art exhibit in which we showcase our students’ artistic talents at the 40 Acres Gallery.

The School of the Arts offers the best of both worlds, bringing together academics and artistic studies. Our students express their creative talents through music, dance, drama and visual arts. This dual focus has prepared our students for college and we are very proud of our seniors who have been accepted to universities such as UC Santa Cruz, Humboldt, Sacramento State, Tuskegee, UC Davis, UC Irvine, San Francisco State and Grambling University.

Our school is founded on a high level of commitment from students and staff. Our dedicated staff works to create a nurturing environment that upholds high expectations academically and artistically. In return, we expect our students to work hard and take advantage of all the opportunities we offer.
