Superintendent’s Message

At St. HOPE Public Schools, we pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive school culture that is driven by high expectations. We believe in the transformative power of education and that our teachers serve as catalysts for change. Our teachers and staff are drawn to our schools’ firm belief that all of our scholars can reach their full potential.

We’re proud of the work we are doing to close the opportunity gap and that our award-winning schools have been recognized for academic excellence, inclusivity, and educational equity. In 2023, 99% of our seniors at Sac High were accepted into four-year universities, including all nine UC campuses. We are proud to have among the highest percentage of students admitted to UCs and CSUs in the Sacramento region.

Beyond academics, we place a strong emphasis on creating a vibrant school culture. We have a competitive athletic program and our scholars have access to clubs, leadership opportunities, and hands-on internships. Our elementary scholars benefit from a well-rounded education with three different elective courses—music, art, and PE—providing them with diverse learning experiences and allowing our teachers additional prep time.

For over 20 years, we have remained steadfast in our mission to graduate self-motivated, industrious, and critical thinking leaders who are committed to serving others, passionate about lifelong learning, and prepared to earn a degree from a four-year college. Our scholars leave St. HOPE and go on to do amazing things!

Sincerely,

Lisa Ruda
